The Significance of the Globe

Many years ago (12 to be exact), I read the following quote by Scott McNealy (former CEO of SUN Microsystems). His profound observation got me excited about the Internet. With the way the Internet has evolved, the statement has even more meaning today.

“When computers (people) are networked, their power multiplies geometrically. Not only can people share all that information inside their machines, but they can reach out and instantly tap the power of other machines (people), essentially making the entire network their computer."

So, with just a click of a mouse, we are connected to people all over the world. And, if used properly, we are much better off.
